Blast from the past (mine and theirs).

I freaking love this music video and all of its ridiculous. Also they clearly had no clue what to do with Jaejoong since he can neither dance nor skillfully knock hot dogs out of tough-looking guys’ hands. So they just stuck him on a motorcycle.

Seriously you should watch it though. I would contend that 1:29-1:35 are the greatest 6 seconds in music video history.

ok

Vondell, your princess looks like a girl you.

I wasn’t going to do this but shit, it was fun.

I look like the princess of darkness.

my face sorta as is, then fantasy clothes yay?

I had too much fun with this.

I think you can tell my favorite colors.

I spent way too much time on this.

Just awkward and strange enough. Also yes, that is a bow tie.

This, I think, is pretty accurate. Except I’m definitely a short(er) skirts girl at heart.

Weight

I am sitting in the middle of boxes. In reality I am sitting on my bed, but my bed is surrounded by boxes, crates, half-unpacked and annoying to me, my family, everyone.

I am so desperately lazy sometimes, as if my bones and joints don’t have it in them to carry me off this bed to pick up a few stupid things in boxes, half-read books and unfinished notebooks and the last of my socks and underwear. They do; I am the girl who carries ladders and lampposts and lights and tables and speakers, and I won’t let you tell me otherwise. I carried that coffee table across campus by myself, didn’t I, wearing too much clothing for the rain and the heat, but I can’t pick up a few books from French class and put them on the shelf, annotated in my mindless way.

Things are heavier, in summer, when the light doesn’t die until late and shoes seem stupid, nothing but a hindrance to coolness and freedom (and a savior from bee stings, don’t you forget), when you can see my bra under nearly everything I wear but I really don’t care. It gets hot here, but my parents say it’s worse in Michigan. I know it’s worse in Louisiana; I’ve been there in the summer when the country plays tricks on a Northeastern girl’s mind, when what you’re sure are cornstalks turn out to be sugar cane, when the trees look like pines but they’re not, they’re covered in hanging mosses and they’re surrounded by a swamp that looked so solid, for a minute.

I wonder what this summer will be like. I hope it’s not so heavy as it feels, now.

The first non-family member I ever loved showed me this. I will never forget it.

3 Days

Two nights ago I cut up my knee but it doesn’t sting anymore, finally, so I think it’s healing. I got locked out and stood in the rain and beat people I don’t know in a foot race. I stayed up until 3 and I talked too much but I always do that so I don’t even know why I’m noting it.

Yesterday I woke up too early but felt pretty good about it. I ate breakfast and ate lunch and learned about sound: input output amplifier CueLab speakers. Then I went to Fenway and watched the Red Sox lose miserably but it was ok because you know, I’ve wanted to go to Fenway for eight years and now I’ve finally, finally gone. Their fried dough was pretty good, too.

Today I had rehearsal for an hour and now I just need to write 3 solos and I’ll have accomplished what I need to do. Maybe I’ll go play with lights soon. Hopefully more people will be around later. Everything feels so calm and empty and I don’t much like it; I’ve got all summer to keep to myself. I’ve been listening to the HAIR soundtrack obsessively and this probably will not stop until it’s all over and I’m about to gauge my eardrums out from the number of times I’ve heard chanting of inappropriate words over funk lite beats.
